With a BFA in fine arts, Rob has been painting professionally for over 17 years, both as a 'Scenic Artist’ and as a ‘Mural Artist’. For 6 years, Rob has worked full-time on his art to refine his techniques and cultivate his artistic voice. In this time, he has exhibited in 17 Outdoor Art Shows as well several gallery exhibitions including; Gallery 129 Ossington, Liss Gallery, The Lonsdale Gallery, Terrence Robert Gallery and as part of ‘The Artist Project’ and ‘The Toronto International Art Fair’. In 2010, Rob began to expand his “empire” and has shown his work out of the city: in Port Credit, Ottawa and Waterloo as well as out of the province (in Kelowna B.C) and has even begun to branch into United States! Rob’s work is always playful, mostly clever, slightly twisted, and has a “pocket-sized” political edge dealing with a range of issues including; the global environment, urban issues, personal empowerment and good ‘old fashioned’ manners.
Rob, as an artist/entertainer/activist/smarty-pants, is always looking for new ways to challenge and amuse! When asked “what is to come?” Rob will promptly inform you that he has his sights clearly set on ‘global art domination‘!
