ABOUT ROB
Rob (who HATES writing in 3rd person) is a professional artist living in Toronto with his adoring husband/art schlepper. 2023 is a HUGE milestone for Rob. He has officially been showing art for 20 freaking years! (Which is a lifetime in “regular-person-career” years!)
In his 2 decades, he has survived a devastating studio fire, numerous studio closures, and has created 12 full collections of work, created over 1800 works of art! (BOO YA!) and has shown in almost 200 juried & solo exhibitions including; The Toronto International Art Fair, The Artist Project, The Winter One of a Kind Show and numerous art-trade shows! He has also been featured on the TTC ride guide, and in an exhibition curated by “The Tragically Hip”. In the lat 2 years Rob has exhibited in Toronto, Wellington, Kitchener, Kingston, Caledon, Malibu, Cleveland, Chicago, and a recent solo show in Los Angeles. Rob is currently represented in a few Ontario galleries, and in a few USA galleries as well. Rob is thrilled to have his art in the permanent City of Toronto’s Art Collection, the TTC head office, and in the private collections of several Mayors, Alex Lifeson, Stuart McLean, Ann Marie MacDonald, Yannick Bisson and assorted celebrities. You will find his art and his commissions in many corporate and private collections all over the world! Rob has been profiled in Argyle Magazine, Neighborhood Living Magazine, The Society for Commercial Archeology, Spacing Magazine, Sliver Fox Magazine, Cineplex Magazine and many others. He has featured by The Jealous Curator and a few podcasts! In addition to all that, you can also find Rob’s merchandise at several Ontario retailers. Rob's acrylic paintings are intentionally upbeat and humourous. His vintage-inspired work is instantly identifiable! It has a clever approach to pop culture that often merges political topics within whimsical compositions. They're great...and he's pretty great too! ![]()
