"As Seen on TV"
April 18th - May 3rd, 2026. Blue Crow Gallery, Toronto, ON. A new solo show at Blue crow gallery by Toronto’s resident latchkey legend, Rob Croxford! Raised in a wood-panelled basement by the warm glow of the television, Rob proudly logged formative hours with The Electric Company, The Muppet Show and the eternal cool of Arthur Fonzarelli — with a few “accidental” late nights courtesy of SNL and Elvira. The result? A full-blown pop-culture religion built on punchlines, neon dreams, and unapologetic spectacle. In “As Seen on TV”, iconic television quotes are reborn in bold neon and weathered roadside signage — nostalgia turned up to eleven, with a wink of subversion. It’s colour. It’s camp. It’s controlled chaos. It’s the dialogue that shaped a generation — hanging on a gallery wall instead of flickering on a screen. Come for the memories. Stay for the sparkle. Leave humming a theme song! ***Coming Soon - so don’t touch that dial!!! |
