Greetings from the 6ix - Giclée
This is my new favourite art piece!
Don't know what "The 6ix" is?? GO HERE...TO FIND OUT WHY.
This print is based on my original painting was painted to mimic the 'Welcome to..." postcards from the 1950's.
I picked imagery that I thought really was Toronto-y - icons of the city which included:
The Skyline with the CN Tower, The fantastic modernist architecture of New City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square, The Goodman Worts Flatiron Building, The clocktower of the Old City hall Building, The St Lawrence Market, The streetcar, The Prince's Gates at the CNE (and another streetcar), The Flag of Toronto, AND the unofficial mascot for Toronto - the raccoon!
I think it is a splendid painting - and a great limited edition print!
I hope you like my Toronto choices! :-)
MORE:
A Giclée (pronounced "jhee-clay") is a sophisticated inkjet method of printing on acid free watercolor paper. These are produced for Rob by a professional Giclee Printer on an Epson printer with K3 pigment inks. Each is printed in 2 sizes, 16" x 20" ($90.00) and 8" x 10" ($35.00). These are small editions.....so you'll wanna get 'em while you can!! The imagery is 100% MINE, and is based on a portion of a previously painted original. The paper is high qualtity, acid and chlorine free 100% cotton rag paper. Which is NICE paper!
I think that is all you need to know, but please email if you have any other questions.
I LOVE to share my answers!
