The Logan Commissions!

This is my commissioned pieces for The Daniels Corporation. For those of you who DO NOT know them, they are a great developer here in Toronto! They also go out of their way to showcase local artists! This big boy above (the painting) hangs in lobby of 'The Logan' on Queen Street East, Toronto.
Like with most commissions, I was given ideas as to what they would like to see....but I was mostly left to my own devices! The final painting "4 Queens" is 6 foot x 6 foot, and was a JOY to work on. Each corner is made up of a Queen themed phrase:
Beauty Queen
Queen Bee
Queen of the Night
Logan and Queen (the intersection it is on)
I am THRILLED with the final piece - it was a super challenge to get the imagery in each corner to bleed together! A FUN challenge!

I was also commissioned to make a painting that encouraged people to take the stairs.....for this one I was told exactly what they wanted....and I think it works pretty well:

"Take the Stairs", 30" x 24", Acrylic on Canvas.

All-in-all a GREAT EXPERIENCE working with Daniels on this project!
I am super happy that it looks so great, and that they are happy with the piece too! Hopefully the new residents enjoy walking past it each day!
