![]() Hi! Okay....I am gonna tell you a secret. I Google myself.......and I do it OFTEN! I know it makes me sound a little insecure, but the truth is I like the validation. BAM - TRUTH BOMB! Just keeping' it real y'all! Today, I decided to Google 'streetcars'.....to see where my work was ranked on the image list......and what did I find? IT was buried about 10 pages in!!!!!!! There were tonnes of photos and paintings of the streetcars as we always see them....By night with reflections in the rainy pavement - or watercolours of the Red Rocket speeding down the road. BUT NONE OF MINE??? So I intend on fixing that TODAY!!!!!!!!!!! But first....I bet you are wondering what the deal is.... WHY STREETCARS? Why paint them? Well....I guess partly because they are iconic to Toronto. I think it is because they have been around for so many years, even as many cities have gotten rid of their streetcars in favour of busses. I bet it is the catchy red colour that also attracts people's eyes. I always say that the people who love them the most, are the people who are not obliged to ride them. But that is not always true. I like a million things about them....I guess I am just a huge transit nerd! Okay - I KNOW I am a huge transit nerd. I think I just never lost the 5 year old boy that used to love that kind of stuff!! Just look at this old blog post.......it proves how train nerdy I am! I took a trip to a couple streetcar museums - and they were COOL! So what this all means is.....that I have painted well over 100 pieces that have some form of streetcar or subway or train or bus.....and then someone has bought that painting! Please enjoy the selection I have chosen of Toronto Streetcar paintings.....many of them are sold, but they are all pretty nice to look at (and some have limited edition prints still available!) ![]() This painting is called "Evolution of the Streetcar". Sadly for you, it is SOLD, BUT it is also available as a print. Although it is nearing the end of its run as a print as well. Click on the image and you can see the prints available! ![]() "Gateway to the East" is another streetcar painting. It is another SOLD painting, but it is a great one! You also can buy this guy as a print! ![]() I bet you are beginning to see a pattern here. This painting called "King of the Road" shows 3 generations of streetcars, and it is also SOLD! BUT again, it lives on in my limited edition prints! ![]() This PAINTING IS AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW!!!!!! I kid you not! It is a 16" x 20" original acrylic on Wood with mixed media elements. I tried to be a little 'loose-r' with this painting, but it has been a year, and it is still available. You should scoop it up TODAY! These last 3 are all paintings that are sold. But I like them a lot! I guess other people do as well...... THERE! If that doesn't get me ranked in the search engines for TORONTO STREETCAR PAINTINGS AND ART - I really don't know what will!!!
GEEZ! p.s. no....still no new paintings to show you! Sorry! ;-)
